Welcome to Thankful Thursday!  Each Thursday, I host a "Thankful Thursday" link up so that we can share with each other the things in our lives that we are grateful for right now.  I have found that there are always things to be thankful for - even in the most difficult of life's seasons.  It goes beyond that.  Developing an attitude of thanksgiving can change your outlook on life.  Even if you don't have a post to link up, I'd love to encourage you to just stop where you are and think of three things that you are thankful for.  Do that each day.  It's amazing how much we have to be thankful for even when it doesn't feel like there is anything!

This week I am thankful for:

*  Safe travels.  We drove over to Atlanta, GA last weekend for a family gathering to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday.  We had {mostly} great weather for the trip and we made it there and back in good time.

*  My grandmother!  As I just mentioned, she turned 90 last Saturday.  I am grateful to be the age I am and to still have a grandparent.  It was so good to see her and catch up a bit, even if only briefly.  {It was a quick trip.}

*  Family.  I commented after our trip that I wasn't sure when the last time so much of my dad's family had been together in one place.  For this particular group, the answer was "never".  I saw cousins I hadn't seen in years as well as two of my cousin's daughters who I'd never met before - and they are in high school now!  It was great to see everyone.

What are you thankful for this week?
