Woolzies Dryer Balls: A Review & Giveaway!

When you think of all the household chores you do in any given week, what's your most favorite {if there is such a thing!}?  What's your least favorite?  Laundry might be high up on either one of those lists for you.  As for me, I honestly do not mind doing laundry.  It's the folding and putting away that I don't like so much!

I know a lot of people these days are becoming more environmentally aware and have made changes in terms of the products that they use for household chores, including laundry.  I use store-bought name brand detergent of the "sensitive skin" variety and, until recently, have been following that up with the use of store-brand unscented dryer sheets.  What I was using worked just fine compared to name-brand.  However, when I think of these products, it seems that I am going to at least some effort to ensure that there are {theoretically} a reduced level of harmful chemicals in the products I use.  I had at one point discovered that I could actually make my own "dryer balls".  Made from wool, these would be an alternative multi-use replacement for the disposable dryer sheets I was using.  Sounded great, but I never followed through.

Enter Woolzies Dryer Balls!

I recently discovered Woolzies on a friend's blog.  She was doing a review and giveaway.  While I did not win the giveaway, I was able to get in touch with the company to host my own review and giveaway right here - a win win for me!

Since I received this box of 6 XL dryer balls, I have done countless loads of laundry with them.  They are so simple to use.  You simply add all of the dryer balls to your dryer along with your clothes right out of the wash, and go.  That's it!

This is an image of the back of the box outlining the benefits of using Woolzies Dryer Balls:

I love the fact that these dryer balls are chemical free.  There is nothing in this product that is going to transfer to your clothing, so it is perfect for sensitive or allergic skin.  On a regular heat setting, I have noticed a shortened drying time, which helps to save energy.  I do not notice that the dryer balls are any more effective at reducing wrinkles or static than the store-brand dryer sheets I had been using, but that wouldn't have been the selling feature for me anyway.  The reduced waste, reduced drying time, and {mostly} the non-toxic/chemical free nature of the dryer balls makes it all worthwhile.

Woolzies Dryer Balls are handmade and eco-friendly.  They naturally soften your fabrics and are guaranteed to last for at least 1,000 loads!   Think of all the waste you'd be saving in dryer sheets alone - not to mention energy and money!  I am very pleased with this product.  I only wish I'd discovered them sooner!

Today you have an opportunity to win a box of Woolzies Dryer Balls for yourself!  Simply complete the entries in the Rafflecopter widget below.  A winner will be selected on November 11th and will receive one box of Woolzies Dryer Balls direct from the company.

Good luck!  Please be sure to check out their website, facebook page and follow them on twitter!
