It's Thankful Thursday! Welcome to this weekly link up, whether you're here for the first time or a long-time follower. I appreciate you being here!
This week I am thankful for:
* A wonderful birthday. It wasn't fancy or elaborate, but it was much needed time spent as a family and it was perfect. We ate a nice dinner out and then went to a local county park to drive through the "Festival of Lights". In our five years here, I've only been to this once. Ron and Moira have been several times, taking visiting family members each year. I was happy to be able to enjoy it this year. This was Moira's birthday gift to me.
* Many many birthday wishes from family and friends near and far.
* Getting caught up on my daily bible reading plan. I regret I had fallen a bit behind, but am back on track. It does make a difference in my daily life, so I'm glad for this!
* Learning patience. I tend to struggle in this area. I was supposed to be having my ankle surgery today, but the Hematologist wanted me to wait a little longer because of the blood clots in my lungs. I'd much rather be getting my foot fixed so I can get on the road to recovery from that injury, but I'm having to learn patience in many areas, including this. As it is, the new date happens to be the day after Ron's mom arrives for a visit, so I will have help here at the new time of surgery now.
