Thankul Thursday #LinkUp - Year 3 Week 1

It's Thankful Thursday!  Welcome to this weekly link up, whether you're here for the first time or a long-time follower.  I appreciate you being here!

I can't believe we are mid-way through November already.  The year seems to be winding up pretty quickly.  Does anyone else feel like that??

This week I am thankful for:

*  Doctors who are more concerned about my well-being than simply getting the job done as quickly as possible.  I was supposed to be having surgery on my ankle next Thursday.  My Orthopaedic Surgeon did not want to proceed with the surgery until all of my doctors were on board, given my recent pulmonary embolism.  My Pulmonologist was ok.  My Hematologist was...but not now.  I wrote about this season of waiting that I am in over HERE.  While it is frustrating to wait, I understand their reasoning and so I will wait until my new surgery date of December 12.

*  A very patient and loving husband.  I try to do my best to not complain about the pain that I am in - whether it's my ankle from the torn tendon and ligaments, or my chest and back from the pulmonary embolism.  I keep thinking of Peyton and all she endured and I feel like complaining about my pain is not right.  That said, every now and then I'll get in a funk and just feel like I am over all of this.  I'm over being sore.  I'm over this recovery period.  I want to be on the road to recovery, which means post-surgical.  I want for these pains to be gone.  So every now and then I let that be known.  I am very thankful for a husband who puts up with me and does more than I could even ask to help me through this time.

*  My #fallmugswap package that arrived the other day.  I received these awesome things from Jillian.  I've never participated in a mug swap before.  It was lots of fun and I love my new mug!
