The devotional content on YouVersion says this:
"Are you considering continuing your fast or maybe beginning new habits of regular fasting? In this chapter people are wondering if they should continue the fasting calendar they had kept and the Lord answers them through Zechariah."
Tomorrow is the last official day of this time of prayer and fasting. How are you feeling? I hope that you have been able to spend much time with God, developing a closer relationship with Him. As the online devotional says - are you considering continuing your fast? I know this time is deeply personal to each one doing a fast. The answer to that question is really between you and God. Perhaps you felt far closer to Him during this time than most other times and you may consider fasting on a regular basis. Perhaps you've come to see how whatever you were fasting was keeping you from Him and you've decided to cut whatever that is from your life on a daily basis from here on out. Or perhaps you've decided to limit this thing rather than fast altogether or go back to the way it was before the fast. Or perhaps you will do another fast this time next year. Whatever the choice - it is your decision and there is no right or wrong choice here.
Has your prayer life improved during this time? Perhaps you've come to find some answers to your prayers, or perhaps there is still much prayer needed for the issue. For me, I think I can always stand to work on an improved prayer life so I will continue working on this. I will also continue praying fervently for the things I have been praying for during this time.
