The Daniel Fast - Day 14 Devotional

Today's Day 14 devotional is coming from YouVersion's 21 Day Fast reading plan.  Each day you will find devotional content as well as scripture readings for the day.  The scripture for Day 14 is Matthew 5:1-14.

I loved the scripture passage for today's devotional.  Why?  Because it contains some of my favorite verses which you might know as The Beatitudes.  If you are unfamiliar - and even if you are - take a moment to read these verses:
This passage is packed full of blessings for you and I!  That is what I love.  Through all circumstances we might find ourselves in, we are blessed.  We are shown a variety of circumstances we might face in our lives and we are told that we will be blessed.  We are told what God offers to us in each of those circumstances.  What incredible promises to hold on to - particularly during times of great difficulty.  All is not lost when we are facing challenges.  There is hope and comfort in our Father.  There are blessings and goodness to come out of our trials.

The devotional content on YouVersion today says:

"Make a point today to count your blessings.  Keep a journal with you all day to write down the blessings that God brings to your mind. Pray to thank Him for the blessings, even the ones that come as a result of enduring hardships or trials."

If you are doing a fast right now, how is it going for you?  What are your major challenges right now?  What are you learning so far?  Do you have any advice to share on how to get through the difficult moments of the fast?  I'd love to hear!

I will be sharing devotionals such as this and other ideas to help you through this journey.  If you are reading a bible plan or devotional during this fast, what are you learning?  I would love it if we could share our insights so that we can be a support to each other during this time.  Link up below and grab a button while you're at it!
