Daily Wisdom Challenge - Week 48

On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.  Our pastor calls it the Daily Wisdom Challenge {or the "Twitter Bible Study"}.  The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and post insight from your reading each day, in 140 characters or less!  You can find a reading plan at YouVersion.

Here is what I learned over the past week:

1 Peter 5:8-9 The enemy cannot wait to get a stronghold in our weaknesses. Be strong in faith and know you are not alone in your trials!

2 Peter 1:3-5 God has given us all we need but we must build on what we know to increase in faith and wisdom so we may come closer to Him.

2 Peter 2:19 What is it that you cling to in life? The sins of this world? God and the truth He has revealed? We can only serve one of these.

2 Peter 3:9-10 God wants everyone to be saved. He has patience as He tries to gather His people to Him, but there will come a time when it is too late. Why delay?

1 John 1:6 We cannot claim to know and follow God and still be living in darkness and ways that are not His. We must keep striving to do what is right.

1 John 2:15 The things of this world can be nice, but if we put the first and love all worldly things before God, then we don't have God in us.

1 John 2:23 If you don't acknowledge Christ himself, you don't have God either. The path to God hinges on belief in the birth, death and resurrection of Christ.
