Daily Wisdom Challenge - Week 47

On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.  Our pastor calls it the Daily Wisdom Challenge {or the "Twitter Bible Study"}.  The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and post insight from your reading each day, in 140 characters or less!  You can find a reading plan at YouVersion.

Here is what I learned over the past week:

James 3:16-17 Where there is wisdom from The Lord, there is peace, mercy and goodness. If there is any hint of jealousy or self righteousness, the wisdom is not from Him.

James 4:4,6 The more we are if this world, the less we are with God. But He knows this and has given us grace, mercy and the ability to stand firm in our beliefs.

James 5:16 Do you have a need? Pray! Pray BIG prayers and pray in earnest. God hears what is on your heart!

1 Peter 1:7 How you endure through the trials of life is a testament to your faith. You will be richly rewarded for your perseverance and faith through these trials.

1 Peter 1:14-15 Once you know God, you must continually strive to live for Him and not for the things of this world. Strive for what is holy and righteous.

1 Peter 2:21 We can't be like Christ if we aren't willing to suffer like Christ. Christianity isn't about what makes us comfortable.

1 Peter 3:15 Do not let others threaten your faith. Be strong and be ready to explain what is true at all times.
