On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study. Our pastor calls it the Daily Wisdom Challenge {or the "Twitter Bible Study"}. The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and post insight from your reading each day, in 140 characters or less! You can find a reading plan at YouVersion.
As you may have seen on facebook, twitter or right here on this blog, our family's life has been in a state of upheaval with Peyton being back in the hospital. I have not been into the Word as I should have been, but I am doing my best to dive in again. Here is what have been learning:
Col 3:18-19 Wives respect your husbands. Husbands love your wives. Amen to that!
1 Thess 2:4 We are also messengers of the Good News. But when we proclaim it, who are we trying to please? Us? Others? Or Him??
Jer 15:19 If we return to Him, He will restore us. We should use our voice to influence for the kingdom and not be influenced by the enemy.
Jer 17:10 If your inward motives do not match our outward actions, don't deceive yourself into thinking the Lord won't figure that out!
1 Thess 5:14 Don't just help those who are like yourself - reach out to those who are timid or weak and offer help. Be an encouragement to all!
2 Thess 1:7-10 Our actions/inactions here on earth matter. Our eternity with the Father is dependent on these things!
Ps 84:11 If we follow the Lord and walk along the right path, the Lord will grant us grace, glory and goodness beyond measure.
