On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study. Our pastor calls it the Daily Wisdom Challenge {or the "Twitter Bible Study"}. The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and post insight from your reading each day, in 140 characters or less! You can find a reading plan at YouVersion.
Here is what I learned over the past week:
Ps 73:26 No matter how frail and weak we become, God remains strong within us. That is something we can rely on.
Phil 3:13-14 When you decide to live for Christ, just keep pushing on to achieve a Christ-like life. He doesn't expect perfection immediately!
Phil 4:6-7 We are asked not to worry but to pray instead. Through this we will experience a peace that only comes through Christ.
Col 1:15-17 Everything that can be seen and all that is unseen is a creation of God. Christ is supreme over all of this.
Col 2:7 Be rooted in Christ. Build your life upon Him. Express your thankfulness to Him. Out of the overflow will come many blessings.
Col 2:12-14 Our sins were forgiven on the cross. Belief in the gospel of Christ heals the separation between us and God caused by our sin.
Col 3:1-17 Because of our belief in Christ, we can put to death our old sinful nature and come alive in a new life with Him.
