Daily Wisdom Challenge 2012 - Week 28

On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.  Our pastor calls it the Daily Wisdom Challenge {or the "Twitter Bible Study"}.  The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and post insight from your reading each day, in 140 characters or less!  You can find a reading plan at YouVersion.

Here is what I learned over the past week:

Prov 19:11 Hold your tongue. Control your anger. People will respect you for your ability to remain calm and overlook things instead of acting out against  people.

Romans 2:1-23 We must not judge others when we ourselves dishonor God by our sins. We must practice the good we teach to others.

Prov 19:6 It's easy to befriend those who are willing to give us gifts, but what sort of gifts should we be after? Earthly or spiritual?

Romans 1:17 What is the Good News? We are made right by God through our faith and belief in the Gospel!

Prov 19:3 Be accountable for your own choices/actions. Stop blaming God for things you brought on yourself through your own foolishness.

Prov 18:24 If your "friend" has an agenda or ulterior motive, they probably aren't really your friend.

Ps 7:12 God is just. He calls us to repent. He will judge and punish those who do what is evil to Him.
