On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.Our pastor calls it the "Daily Wisdom Challenge" or the "Twitter Bible Study".
The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and each day, post insight from your reading in 140 characters or less.
Here is what I learned this past week:
{links included for the scripture referenced only}
Prov 18:21 Guard your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth can bring death or life. Choose life!
Ps 5:2 In times of trouble, cry out to God alone. He alone is with you through all things. Look to Him for guidance and direction. He will not lead you astray.
Ps 4:4 Anger can lead to a multitude of sins. Take a time out overnight if you must in order to control your emotions and gain perspective.
Prov 18:15 No one learns from closing themselves off. Wisdom comes from being eager, ready and open to learning at all times.
Prov 18:21 Until you know what is really going on, keep your mouth shut!
Ps 1:6 We can choose the path we follow. One which leads to God where we are watched over and the other sure to lead to our ruin. Now pick one.
Ps 150:6 Praise God for everything - but do it LOUD. Don't just sit back quietly admiring Him. Praise Him out loud!!
