Daily Wisdom Challenge 2012 - Week 23

On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.Our pastor calls it the "Daily Wisdom Challengeor the "Twitter Bible Study".

The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and each day, post insight from your reading in 140 characters or less.

Here is what I learned this past week:
{links included for the scripture referenced only}

Prov 16:19 We are far better off to give up our worldly possessions, living humbly than to revel in all of the "things" money can buy.

Acts 3:26 The Lord is still the author of salvation. Turn from sin and live a richly blessed life with Him.

Acts 4:12 Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation. Period.

Acts 5:41 To what extent are we willing to uphold the name of Jesus? Do we do it at all costs or do we easily waver when under attack?

Ps 126:5-6 Hopeful that out of times of sadness there will come great joy.

Prov 16:28 Gossip can tear friendships apart but it also causes us to stray from the path, distancing ourselves from God.

Ps 128:1 When we revere God, we can experience great joy. Fearing the Lord is to revere Him - not be afraid.
