On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.Our pastor calls it the "Daily Wisdom Challengeor the "Twitter Bible Study".

The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and each day, post insight from your reading in 140 characters or less.

Here is what I learned this past week:
{links included for the scripture referenced only}

Prov 14:29 It is far more wise to be in control of your temper than to rise up in anger causing damage that may be irreversible.

Prov 14:30 Jealousy and ill feelings towards others can eat away at you and cause you real physical harm; Peace promotes a healthy body!

1 Sam 7:3 When you feel abandoned by God, think about & remove those things in your life that are separating you from Him!

John 6:39 Christ came to do the will of God. He came to actively pursue us so we could be with the Father one day. We just need to believe in the one He sent!

John 6:63 Our own human efforts will not give us eternal life with the Father; we must come to the Father through the Son whose words are spirit and life.

John 7:16-18 Jesus didn't come to preach with his own agenda. Anyone who preaches with one probably isn't following God's will.

Prov 15:7 Be careful where you seek advice. Wise people give good advice, but the foolish will have little to offer.
