Daily Wisdom Challenge 2012 - Week 11

On January 1, I began my second-ever year long bible study.Our pastor calls it the "Daily Wisdom Challengeor the "Twitter Bible Study".

The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and each day, post insight from your reading in 140 characters or less.

Here is what I learned this past week:

Mark 16:15 We are commissioned by God to go out and preach the Good News. How much of an effort are we putting forth?

Psalm 56:13 When we follow God's path, we follow righteousness and light. In Him, we are rescued from death.

Proverbs 11:9 Mere words have the power to destroy, but knowledge leads to righteous living.

Proverbs 11:12-13 Gossip is not the right way to garner attention. Being quiet about things will garner people's trust in you.

Proverbs 11:14 A wise leader seeks the advise of those (s)he trusts. Without wisdom, nations will fail.

Luke 2:51-52 Obedience to the Father will result in wisdom and in receiving God's favor.

Proverbs 11:16-17 Being cruel will get you nowhere. Practicing kindness will bring you respect.
