Daily Wisdom Challenge 2012 - Week 1

On January 1, I began a year long bible study.
Our pastor calls it the "Daily Wisdom Challenge" or the "Twitter Bible Study".
The purpose is to engage in a reading plan for a year, and each day, post insight from your reading in 140 characters or less.
I completed this challenge in 2011 and I'm doing it again.

Here is what I learned this past week:
{links included for the scripture referenced only}

Prov 1:32-33 Those who live in God will have peace. Those who don't will head towards destruction.

Gen 3 Listen to God's voice. There's a good chance He knows what He's talking about when He warns you against something.

Gen 7:11 It doesn't matter how old you are to be used for God's glory. Just ask Noah.

Ps 4:4 It is better to reflect and think upon things than to act out in anger right off the bat. Sleep on it!

Matt 5:13-16 Let all you do be for His glory. Be salt and light to all you encounter.

Prov 1:29-31 Turning from the Lord to follow your own will eventually will destroy you. Peace comes from abiding in Him.

Matt 6:1-21 Of what value are all the things we accumulate here on earth? It is what is in our heart that matters most.
