Things I learned from the Daily Wisdom Challenge this week:

Isaiah 58 Fast in a way pleasing to the Lord. Live godly lives. You will be a light unto others. The Lord will be your protection and guide.  (Isaiah 54 - 58)

***

Isaiah 61 The Lord is righteous and just. He will bless those who have been oppressed. Love that we serve a merciful God!  (Isaiah 59 - 63)

***

Isaiah 66 It's not enough to go through the motions of being humble before God - He knows if you mean it or not!  (Isaiah 64 - 66)

***

2 Kings 21 Just because society thinks certain practices are acceptable doesn't mean that they ARE acceptable to the Lord.   (2 Kings 20 - 21)

***

2 Chron 33 Even after years of disobedience to the Lord, He will listen to us when we repent of our ways and humble ourselves before Him!  (2 Chronicles 32 - 33)

***

Nahum 1 The Lord is merciful and is our strength - but He is also just and will punish the guilty. Staying on the right side takes work!  (Nahum 1 - 3)

***

2 Chron 34 It's never too late to humble ourselves before God when we realize the ways we've been following for ages are not the right ways.  (2 Kings 22 - 23, 2 Chronicles 34 - 35)
